My birthdate is the same as Simon Cowell's. What's your bloody excuse, eh?

Wow.. just wow. Malaysians are such suckers for pity parties. That’s all I’m gonna say right now.
Anyway, back to the show. We were given almost 48 long hours to text in our votes. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad idea. Personally, I think it sucks. Votings are even allowed 5 minutes before they announced the winner. At this rate, the telecomms CEO will probably get a new Mercedes Benz on an hourly basis!
Highlights of the show.. well, nothing much really. I liked the kindest and harshest comments of the week segment. The judges also shared their thoughts on who would make it to the next round from this first group.
Roslan picked Sufiah, Dina and Rizal.
Gee picked Sufiah, Dina and Zamil.
Paul picked Nikki, Vick and Sufiah.
Well at least two of my picks were the same as the judges (Sufiah and Zamil). I was surprised that all three of the judges picked Sufiah, because I haven’t been getting positive vibes from the general public on her.
Anyway, the actual results came in and the three chosen for the Finals were … *drumrolls*..
1. DINA! Yay! So my homegirl made it. I didn’t think that was her best performance, but we’ve seen from the auditions that she has a good voice. Bravo! JB is proud of you.
2. ZAMIL! Yay!! My original pre-show and post-show pick made it. You go, Bobot Jr! I get Matt vibes from him though, but that’s a good thing. I’ll be rooting for you, kiddo.
3. VICK! I’m sorry… There’s something about this guy that really irks me. I don’t know what the hell it is, but I just wish they would stop goddamn pimping this guy. But who knows, it worked for Fantasia, maybe it’ll work for him too. But I don’t think I would ever give a single vote to him.
I’m disappointed that Syima didn’t make it. She will be missed. I am even more disappointed that Sufiah did not make the cut. I guess the general public really don’t know a good voice when they hear one.
