My birthdate is the same as Simon Cowell's. What's your bloody excuse, eh?

I missed the first half of the results show on Sunday, so I had to wait for the repeat on TV3 on Monday. Nothing interesting happened much in the first half (or the second half, for that matter). Jien is becoming increasingly more comfortable hurling abuses at Paul Moss (which so reminds me of Ryan sitting on Simon’s laps). Rydee surprised me with her long straight hair. Much like Boomquisha, I would’ve prefered her original curly hair, but it’s alright I guess.
That kinda reminds me of a joke a friend forwarded me a few days earlier (translated):
RiceNoodle was extremely envious of WetChineseNoodle. Even though they sat side by side in the supermarket aisle, they have never talked to each other. In fact RiceNoodle often threw sarcastic remarks to WetChineseNoodle in public. “Oy, Big Yellow Fattie.. do you think people like you so damn much?”. Days go by, and WetChineseNoodle just kept her cool and never retaliated. Until one day, the store worker moved WetChineseNoodle to a new place. RiceNoodle was exteremely pleased as she didn’t have to look at her nemesis on a daily basis anymore. The next day, the store worker placed a new rack next to RiceNoodle. It was a spaghetti rack. RiceNoodle was extremely furious, as she shouted “Oy Big Yellow Fattie!! Bitch please. You think I’m not gonna recognize you after all that rebonding treatment?”
Well, I think it’s funny.
Anyway, these are the judges’ picks :
Roslan picked Anis, Andrew and Hairil
Gee picked Rinie, Anis and Rydee
Paul picked Andrew, Hairil and Rinie
All three of my picks were picked by the judges (Anis, Rydee and Rinie). For once, their picks weren’t all over the place. Besides Rydee, each had at least two judges favouring them to advance.
The actual results however, are as follows :
1. Andrew! Not bad. He didn’t impress me that much on his performance during the workshop, but he sure can sing. He had the most number of votes from this batch! Congratulations Andrew. Hope you’ll be more confident in your future performances.
2. Fazly! I can’t say that I was surprised to see him make the cut (even though I had him in my pre-show picks). I like this guy because he’s got character and his own style. Vocal wise, he’s pretty good. I’m rather worried because we’ve never heard him sing an English song before. But from his interviews, his English didn’t sound bad at all. I hope Fadzli will surprise me.
3. Victor! Biggest surprise for me. It was a nailbiter who was going to make it. Either Victor or Rydee. I was almost convinced Rydee was gonna make it, but it wasn’t meant to be. Victor didn’t wow me as much as his rendition of Anuar zain’s song a few weeks ago. Hopefully, that will change from now on.
So.. that’s it. I was right on two of my three guesses on who Malaysia will pick (Victor and Fazli). So.. 6 finalists.. 5 guys and 1 gal. Should I start worrying?
