Got the Survivor Fever?
Borrowing the tag from Akademi Fantasia, I sure got the fever alright. Survivor fever, baby! Wow. I cannot believe the months of waiting is finally over (thanks to Summer Spoofs which has kept me occupied in the mean time). This is going to be a very brief commentary. The cast names have been ‘released’ by Snewser.. and the first surprise of the season : 18 contestants with 9 on each team.
Before some of you start crying foul, by MY definition, this does not constitute as a spoiler. A spoiler would be telling you who the Final Four contestants are. Below are the names of the contestants and their possible teams. So, gender imbalance, this time huh? I’m sure that will ruffle a lot of feather among die-hard fans, about how unfair that would be. But to me, Survivor is about unpredictability and how well you adapt to the situation that you’re thrown into. That’s why Survivor is almost different every season. It mirrors real life. You want to Survive, you adapt. ADAPTABILITY is the keyword.
