My birthdate is the same as Simon Cowell's. What's your bloody excuse, eh?

No more bad days cause the RENT DVD I ordered from Amazon just got here today! W00t! That was, by far, the fastest delivery I’ve had yet from them. So I’m gonna make this a quick one so that I can watch the DVD afterwards.
Gedeon McKinney - When A Man Loves A Woman by Percy Sledge
I think he’s a good singer but God help me, I can not stand to hear him talk or speak. He really sounds patronizing when he talks. His performance - A 6.5
Chris Daughtry - Broken by Seether
Chris is great and I like him a lot. But for rock singers such as him, I can’t help but keep on wondering how they would do on a show like Rock Star, and how would they compare against the others. Is he really that outstanding? I don’t know. Maybe. An 8.
Kevin Covais - Vincent by Don McLean
People should stay away from songs that have been recorded by Josh Groban. Surprisingly, Kevin hit all the right notes in this song. It was a pleasant performance and I was pleasantly surprised by it. A 7.5
Bucky Covington - Wave on Wave by Pat Green
I actually like his tone of voice, but his overall performance was just below average. Simon was spot on for his assessment on Bucky’s performance. A 4.
Will Makar - How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) by by Marvin Gaye
Same Paris-rule applies for Will. No matter how good he might be, I will never be a fan of his. A 4.
Taylor Hicks - Taking It To The Streets by Michael McDonald
He DOES seem a little retarded, but you can clearly see him enjoying himself on stage. His dancing was god awful. I thought it was one of his weakest performance. And I wasn’t as much enjoyed his performance as I was amused (or bewildered). A 5.
Elliot Yamin - Heaven by Bryan Adams
Heaven is my favourite Bryan Adams song and probably one of the hardest song to sing. Elliot was just wonderful. He sang this one beautifully. If he sings the song Wildflower by Color Me Badd anytime during this competition, I will just cry, cry and cry. That song would SO fit him well. I really hope he will be America’s version of Kurt Nielsen. A 10.
Ace Young - Butterflies by Michael Jackson
Blah blah blah says the judges. To me that was a trainwreck. A 3.
Top Three : Elliot, Chris, Kevin (again, the impossible has happened again)
Bottom Two : Ace, Will and/or Bucky
Golden Nugget : “You singlehandedly could kill the music video industry.” ~ Simon Cowell to Taylor. Oh, and also “I’m not surprised” ~ Simon Cowell (his response to Semencrust’s “I had a dream about you last night” comment)

That’s exactly what I thought when I heard/saw Elliot…I liked him almost as much as Kurt Nielsen!

Yeah! I just hope Americans will not be as shallow and look beyond the primate similarities.
