Rockstar : Supernova - embarassing moment
In my last entry I mentioned that I was practising Stone Temple Pilot’s Plush? Well, it’s only because yesterday I got a call from ThePowersThatBe and told me I was in the running for the Rockstar Competition and told me the DJ at Mix.fm will call me today between 10am and 1pm for the knockout round. I had no idea what the competition will be.. trivia? singing? Anyway, I was ready for both. What I wasn’t ready was for an air guitar competition. Ohmagahd.. most embarassing moment ever.
DJ : Hi Izad, this is Non from Mix.fm
Izad : Hi Non!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!! (over enthusaisticly)
DJ : So I heard you’re a huge Rockstar fan
Izad : You bet. I took the day off from work yesterday just to watch the show live.
DJ : Great. That shows how much of a huge fan you are of the show
Izad : I just hope my boss didn’t hear what I just said earlier
DJ : 
Anyway, we already spoke to the other contestant, and I hope you can top his performance.
Izad : What do I need to do, Non?
DJ : You’re gonna have to put your heart and soul and give all that you have into an air-guitar performance.
Izad : Air guitar performance?
DJ : Yep. Think you can do it?

Izad : umm… okay. But I gotta apologize in advance. I SUCK at air guitars.
DJ : Well let’s just leave it for me to decide.
Izad : Ooookay. I’ll try Smooth from Santana (Smooth.. how ironic.. it wasn’t smooth at all)
Izad : *screeching noises that can only be best described as a bastard spawn of a gremlin and a mangy cat drowning in a dryer’s spin cycle*

Izad : Okay, that’s all I got.
DJ : Hey, that’s not bad (LIAR!), but I think I’m gonna give the other guy the chance to go to the next round, cause he had everything.. he had air drums and percussions too.. the works! But seriously, nice try.
Izad : Okay sure
DJ : So who are you rooting for?
Izad : Dilana, of course. That girl can do no wrong. I LOVE her.
DJ : You want me to send a marriage proposal to her on your behalf?
Izad : Would you? But I think she’s just gonna eat me for breakfast.
DJ : You know, I think deep down inside, you’d enjoy that.

Izad : (to self) there goes my dreams [/poopert]
I still think I could’ve kicked some ass if it was a singing competition. Oh well.

Hahaha.. I think I’m only One In Twenty lah.. definitely not a million.
I figured if I made it through by my singing capabilities, my schtick would be “representing all the nerds and couch potatoes who can’t sing to save their lives”

[…] The bull was obviously #3 but then they asked me how many exactly.. I wasn’t sure if it was 10,000 or 100,000.. so I said “10,000?” LOL They said it was actually 100,000 and I said really? Oh well.. I knew #1 and #2 were correct anyways, and I wasn’t that particularly good with figures. LOL. I knew the judges whittled those 100,000 people down to 17 people at the end of the day though. That’s like 0.1% chance! Ni baru lah one in a million. Anyway, won a CD which was nice. I was just glad I didn’t make a fool of myself again, like I did during my totally embarassing Rockstar radio-call in a few months ago. LOL [link] […]
