One In A Million - Top 5

Alif ~ Ain’t No Other Man (Christina Aguilera)

Jeepers. Is he painful to watch or what? And I thought I was bad. Anyway, there mus be some seriously sadistically sick and twisted people out there to sing this song for him. He actually sounds pretty good (in other words, no major fuck ups) so well done. And just for the record, I love Christina, but I hate this song so damn much. I really really hate the 20s twist they pumped into this song. 6/10

Alif ~ One Remedy (Jason Mraz)

It is not easy to sing this song, Alif was not perfect but it was almost pleasant to hear. Notice I said “to hear” and not “to watch”. Seriously he needs to work on his stage performance. Macam badut overacting in a really bad musical. ANd I don’t know, I find it rude that he’s using sign language to communicate with people in the audience when the camera and host were focusing on him. 5 out of 10.

Farah ~ Trees (Marty Casey)

That was quite good. Not as much shrieking as she’d usually do. It was good, I guess. There still were some audible strains going on with her voice, what’s up with that? But at least it looked like she was having fun. 6/10

Farah ~ Unfaithful (Rihanna)

Why does she do this? Why does she keep making songs sound so much damn harder than it actually is? Why does she try to hard? That sucked major ass. I was trying to refrain myself from cussing last night, but this performance (the 7th song of the night) was the performance that broke my back. This show made me turn a complete 180 on Farah. Sorry. 2/10.

Suki ~ Engkaulah Segalanya (Ruth Sahanaya)

That was not excellent but it was pretty darn good. She could’ve done a lot lot worse but she pulled it off okay. It was an aenjoyable performance. Bravo, Suki. 7/10

Suki ~ Cepat Cepat (Jaclyn Victor)

The performance sounded too echoey. What the hell was up with that? Technical glitch much, 8tv? Anyway, I thought the song fitted Suki perfectly, teeny boppy bubble gum pop that tweens are into so much nowadays. And she sang it well (btw, I went to the same college with the guy who wrote this. Woohoo! Viva la MCB). 7.5/10

Faizal ~ Superman (Five For Fighting)

Lovely. He reminds me of when Man Bai first did Kau Ilhamku. I really liked the first half of the song. His voice sounded so tender. Then he stumblefucked midway through the lyrics and everything went downhill after that. And fucking seriously? The whole Superman t-shirt revealing thingy, is beyond cheesy. Leave that to (shitF)Ace Young thank you. Damn stupid retarded gimmick. Anyway, he fucked up vocally halfway through the song quite badly, in my opinion. 6/10

Faizal ~ Raikan Cinta

He’s got very good and strong vocals. That said, I am already sick of him and his style. SEPESEN doesn’t even begin to descibe it. And while you’re at it, shout a little more and a little louder, why don’t you. Screech if you have too, I’m sure the audience will not get sick of that. Sheesh. 5/10

Dayang ~ Gemilang (Jaclyn Victor)

Certain songs are not meant to be rearranged and “Gemilang” in my honest opinion, is one of them. I absolutely loathed the rendition. It’s almost as blasphemous as changing the beat of Negaraku to hip-hop. That did not work for me AT ALL. And could these people pleaaase, for the life of me, stop singing once the music has stopped. (btw, LMAO @ the Christmas Cracker dress comment made by Paul). 6/10

Dayang ~ Dangerously In Love (Beyonce)

Even that performace isn’t going to save the cowdung that was tonight’s performances. 5/10

Final Rankings :1. Suki ~ 14.5/20
3. Faizal ~ 11/20
3. Dayang ~ 11/20
4. Alif ~ 10.5/20
5. Farah ~ 8/20

That said, I am QUITTING THIS SHOW. If I feel like watching it, I’ll watch it, but looking at these FIVE in a million, I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. Next to Daniel winning Malaysian Idol 2 and Malaysia’s Most Beautiful Kepala Hotak Beautiful, this is one of the biggest jokes in recent years. To whoever that wins the money, take it away and get the hell out of my life forever. Thank you.

Agree with you on the last statement.
Most of the time, I’ll just leave the TV on and do other stuff.
If I sit down and watch, I’ll just cringe through out the performances.
It’s a wonder that you lasted so long…hahaha

Hahaha.. you’re right. I keep wondering myself. Don’t think I will bother watching the show tomorrow night. I might if I have nothing else to do though.

  3. Mr Skin Says:

Sounds like Christina is turning into a bit of a snob with her latest demands on her dressing room setups. She used to be so sweet! I miss the Britney days!!
