Amazing Race Asia - Episode 8

by @ 11:16 pm. Filed under Amazing Race

So the entire episode was shot in Thailand.. again. Not that I’m complaining, it just makes me wonder if they are ever going out of the South East Asia/Australasia region for this show. I kind of like the fact that they showed two different parts of Thailand - the cultural side from the last episode, and the natural beauty of the country.

First of all, the whole fiasco of getting from Bangkok to Krabi was highly entertaining. Confusing, but entertaining, nonetheless. Three of them took the easy 11 hour express bus ride, while the other three was more adventurous and took 5 different public buses and a total of .. what 17 hours? Adventurous, but highly risky and foolish if you ask me.In any case, the 6 hours delay didn’t really matter in the end since there was a retarded opening times equalizer waiting for them at Krabi. I really really hate this kind of equalizers, but good for those stuck in this group I guess.

A Fast Forward was available and I was initially surprised no one wanted to do it. The detour was between Smash (smashing coconuts to find one with red ink inside) and Grab (grabbing underwater clues from the buoys). The Smash detour sounded like a logical choice, but seeing that they were given a miniature hammer instead of a parang to smash the nuts, it was obviously the wrong choice. The Grab detour was clearly the better choice as the waters themselves were not that deep.. and they could’ve gone through all the buoys faster than go through the 75 coconuts.

The roadblock was climbing a really high rock wall. That looked extremely daunting, and I personally don’t know if I could’ve done it. No hang on… I’m not going to go beneath Sahran’s level (that pathetic bitch). But kudos to everyone who did the climb. Another clue leading them to the pitstop, and the whiny bitch got eliminated. All is well with the world again, thank fuck.

In the order of their arrival at the pitstop :

1. Marsio & Mardy

Seriously, wtf? They must be doing something right to be the first team.. again. Sure it’s because of the Fast Forward, but so what? They took the chance and it paid off. I’m still bewildered as to why the rest of the teams were very laidback and hesitant to rush for the Fast Forward. That said, if this team goes out next, it will the best Final Four ever. I’m possibly no different from these two (big, overweight.. and balding some more) but for fucks sake, they used up all their money… for new backpacks and most probably for FOOD. Aiyoo.. “Marsio, stop eating.. get the tickets first”. LMAO. *sigh* They are just playing the tiring cliche of big fat lazy men who does nothing but eat and eat and eat.. again and again. I don’t know if I should be angry at them or sad for them. Really. And bitch please, you do not need one person to balance the kayak, and the other to paddle. Come on, who are you kidding. That’s just laziness speaking and I know this cause I’ve done kayakking in open waters and I’m as big as they are.

2. Andy & Laura

Yeah.. still not liking them, but they’ve proven to be good racers so far. They’ve been in the Top 2 for the past .. what 3 or 4 legs? Gotta hand it to them. They got lucky with the boatmen at the pitstop, but they also made good decisions at the detour.

3. Sandy & Francesca

Well.. they’re just.. there, ya know. Nothing much to be said of what we don’t already know about them. These guys are definitely a shoe-in for the final three.

4. Andrew & Syeon

They are proving to become a much bigger threat now that the race is dwindling down in the number of racers. They were comfortably leading the pack at the detour and roadblock, but unfortunately they got screwed in the end by an incompetent boat driver. Go Team Malaysia!

5. Joe Jer & Zabrina

I was so nervous for them at the detour. They got really lucky after switching from the coconuts to the buoy. I didn’t think the girls would’ve faired so well with the rock climbing roadblock but Zabrina pulled it through. You go girl! <3 <3 <3 They have a lot ahead of them, being the only all-female team left in the race, but I don't think they'll have any problems to outlast at least one other team still in the race.

6. Sahran & Howard

Watching Sahran spread his ass cheek to the camera during the rock climb was painful to watch, but it paid off with their elimination. I kept telling myself that they were going to take the 4-hour penalty and avoid the rock climbing but they proved me wrong. But still, does the bitch cry over everything? I mean, good for you that you actually performed the climb, but do you have to pout and cry after the bloody thing was already over? GOD! Very da memalukan nak mampos. Worst team to be on an Amazing Race show ever, and I’m glad their asses are finally off the show.

Why Amazon.com is the best online marketplace evah

by @ 1:22 pm. Filed under Survivor, Amazing Race, Rants, General

Before I start, here’s the videos for the Survivor : Cook Islands Finale and Reunion Special, and Episode 7 of Amazing Race Asia

Survivor : Cook Islands - Episode 15 Finale (700 Mb)

Amazing Race Asia - Episode 7 (350 Mb)

Link: http://www.yousendit.com/download/OTQOjIaykY95TA%3D%3D

I have watched the Cook Islands Finale, and already know the outcome, but couldn’t really be bothered to watch the reunion special yet, so I’ll reserve my comments on the show’s outcome later this week.

Anyway, back to Amazon.com. I have been a loyal Amazon customer ever since 1997 when I was in the UK. Nine years down the road, and they’ve only gone from good to better to being the absolute BEST online marketplace ever. Seriously. Not only do they provide lots of different choices, including outdated and hard to find items, but they actually sell merchandise cheaper than the actual manufacturer’s website (yeah, if you need a comparison, check out the Apple Webstore and the HBO Webstore.)

I have quite possibly placed almost 50 orders from them (including from their UK branch) to date, and have received no less than 2 less than satisfactory orders. The first was when it actually took a month to arrive in KL.. after investigation, I discovered the fault was with our local Jabatan Imigresen. But of course, right? It was stuck there for over two weeks, and weirdly enough I was summoned by them to collect my parcel at the KLIA Cargo (which I thought was weird). Obviously, something was amiss and true enough, two of my DVDs were missing from the package (even though it was listed on the invoice).

Having ordered many many times from Amazon.com before, I knew my package was tampered with and my two DVDs were practically stolen. I wouldn’t make this bogus claim if it were not the fact that I heard some of the officials there sighing that there is this possibility ‘what with the people in that department’. Anyway, that is all for another story at another time. Not holding the entire department responsible, but to the cum guzzling cock sucking grandmother cunting fucks that stole my DVDs, may you burn in the fiery depths of hell. Assholes. Anyway, I wrote to Amazon to comment on my missing DVDs and the possibility of ordering a new one. And they simply sent me the missing DVD copies even though they were not at fault (I felt kinda guilty but wha-hey! I didn’t ask for a complete replacement!). That was in 2003.

And so, just recently I got yet another package delivered. Everything seemed okay, until I opened the box. Holy crap.. the LOTR box set that I ordered was dented.. no… damaged. I’m not sure if the damage was done during shipment (not sure if that was the case, because my package seemed like it was still in good condition, plus there were paddings within the package). I could be wrong, but it does seem like they gave me a box set that was already damaged before shipping. I was very pissed. But I was ready to let it go.. well.. it’s just a the DVD box set, as long as I could play the DVDs, I’m okay. But that was when I opened up the Disc Set 1 to assess the damage.

You can view the pictures here.

The damage was beyond acceptable.. even for myself (who would usually take the less harsh ‘tak kisah lah’ approach, believe it or not). Thinking about it, I shouldn’t even accept the entire box set even though the Disc Set 2 and Disc Set 3 (and by the looks of it, the actual DVDs of Set 1 - minus the casing) looks to be in good condition. I ordered the DVD Box Set for the Box Set, and bottomline was it was severely damaged. I was pissed. So I had no choice but to write to them and order a replacement. They also had this return policy and process which supposedly make things easier, and even though they wouldgive me a refund for the shipping costs, I would still have to fork out .. what RM100-200 for the shipment back to their warehouse? Dude, the box set is not so light, okay? Well, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Then, interestingly enough I received this in my email this morning :

“I am sorry for the problem you experienced with your shipment. I
have requested a refund for the item and associated shipping cost.
As the cost of return shipping is prohibitively expensive in this
case, you do not need to return the original items.

I’ve also placed a new order for the item “The Lord of the Rings” to
be shipped to you as soon as possible. The charge for this order is
$75.85. Both the charge and refund will be applied to the credit
card used on the original order. “

Fuck a duck. Now THAT’s what you call Customer Service. I mean, wow.. seriously? I had all intentions to mail them back the DVDs tomorrow, even if it costs me RM100++ just for the postage alone, but apparently I don’t need to return the item. Yay! Call me taking advantage of the situation, but it wasn’t like I made a bogus claim just to get a free replacement. I’m so flabbergasted. You think you can find similar levels of customer service here in Malaysia? I’ll lick my own ass la if you can show me where. Even on Malaysia Airlines, they give you complementary gifts when they fuck up your vegetarian meal that you have ordered weeks ahead.

Maybe part of the reason why the customer service here is so bad, is because the kinds of customers we all are (speaking in general terms - but siapa makan cili la kan?). So kiasu, so often nak take advantage. I even see this kind of thing - The Ugly Malaysian - overseas. You know lah, students buy videocamera, then go on holidays taking videos, and before the month is up, they use the 30-days money back guarantee (no questions asked - literally!, some more) to shamelessly return the videocamera back. They call is ’smart’, I call it ‘ no ethics’. But whatever, you know. Kat sini, jangan harap.. even with a 30-day money back guarantee AND you have valid reasons to return the item, you will only be greeted with loads of questions, frowns and suspicions that make you wanna shout “kau ingat kau tu cantik sangat???”. Whoopsies.. overdose pulak.

Anyway, back to Amazon. Yeah, for what it’s worth, the customer service is seriously the best I’ve ever seen, either online or in real life. You can NOT beat them. That is what you should judge when evaluating how excellent a service provider is, shouldn’t you? They also have Artificial Intelligent-based recommendation based on the things you have bought (or even browsed), and more importantly their prices are so much much cheaper.

Oh which reminds me, I was looking for my friend’s book - Tribal Warfare: Survivor and the Political Unconscious of Reality Television (Critical Studies in Television) - a must read for Survivor fanatics - at Kinokuniya, and apparently they don’t carry the book. So I asked them how much it would cost if I got them to order the book for me.. and the amount this Kinokuniya rep gave me was RM150-160. For fucks sake. I told her, “but I could get it cheaper from Amazon”. And she said “maybe you should just order it from Amazon”. Okay, I SO deserve being told off for that, but the price difference was a LOT. And even though she was right to say that, to my face, would that indicate a decent customer service? I don’t think so. So screw you, Kinokuniya, my friend posted me a free copy :p

Oh.. not only Kinokuniya.. The new LOTR DVD Box Set - which has 12 DVDs in total - costed about $65.. which roughly translates to RM260. And how much Speedy video is selling? RM499. And not only that la.. the LOST Season 2 DVD was bought for only $35 (about RM140).. and they are selling it for RM249… and some more, it’s region 3 format. Come on la. People buy the DVDs for it’s extra features, but they are noticably missing from ALL Region 3 formats. What the fuck? Dah la mahal nak mampos. Apa faedah aku beli original Region 3 DVD? Kalau setakat nak beli DVD yg takde feature tu, baik la aku beli DVD-9 yg bersepah kat Low Yatt.
So in summation, Amazon.com is the shiznits. Other marketplace pales in comparison. Thank you. Amazon.com. Gunakan tanpa waswas.

Amazing Race Asia - Episode 7

by @ 11:26 pm. Filed under Amazing Race

I hate airport equalizers.. takde thrill langsung. What was the point of getting a 96-minute delay at the pitstart (God, please never ever use that term again.. it sounds dirty) if you’re all going to be limited to getting on a single pre-determined flight? Seriously now, if that was the case, I probably would’ve driven at 200 mph if I ever get into the race. Worst.penalty.ever. So the teams flew from Auckland to Singapore.. (and to quote Sandy) “just to wash a car”. Lamest.stop.ever. Yeah you can probably tell I didn’t really enjoy this episode, can’t you?

So they arrive in Singapore, then BAM! Blatant shameless product placements by Ford and BP (or was it Exxon? See, I don’t really give a flying fuck.. so basically those endorsements have actually failed their purpose). Wash a car.. then head down to the Fountain of Wealth at Suntec City (Man that brings up a lot of pathetic memories don’t it, Kelly? Sad.).. then off they go to Thailand. If that’s not the worst leg in a single country ever, I don’t know what is. At least pergi la go some historical site ke.. some touristy site ke.. ni pegi basuh kete.. wtf? Running out of ideas izzit? Geez!

At least the Singapore stint gave the viewers a little suspense moment at the airport with Joe Jer and Zabrina almost missing the flight. I actually feel compelled to start a Helpful Singaporean Air Asia Staff Appreciation thread over at Sucks, but I haven’t quite lost it yet. Bla bla bla.. they get to Bangkok. I just realised that Asking For Directions in Bangkok is equal to Driving In KL. Both will definitely get you to your wits end. The Thailand challenges seemed pretty okay.. but it just feels like they are rehashing way too many challenges (finding the clues among the bells, finding the correct cluebox etc etc). Nothing new, nothing for you to write home about. Meh.In order of their arrival at the pitstop :

1. Andy & Laura

Getting pretty sick of them now. Unlucky unlucky unlucky. Unlucky my ass. I’m still partly bitter with the fact that they got away really easy with the speeding penalty from the last episode. THEY SHOULD’VE BEEN PENALIZED IN THE LAST LEG. What the cunting stupid shit of a rule is that? Imposing a time penalty on the next armpitstart? But whatever. It’s not fair to judge them because of the rules.. but tough shit. I’m not even quite sure when I started to dislike them, cause I was actually rooting for them in the beginning. One thing I like about them (in this episode) was how they keep saying Thank You to the locals for helping them out. You don’t get to see that a lot on TAR.

2. Andrew & Syeon

Once again, they proved that they are one of the frontrunners ni this race. The entire I Wanna Pee bit with Syeon was funny, and she scores big points with me for having the guts to just do it on the side of the street. And bravo to Andrew for not giving her a hard time with it.

3. Sahran & Howard

Why are they still in this race?

4. Sandy & Francesca

Again, Sandy’s tanktop bothers me.

5. Mardy & Marsio

“We’re broke because he eats too much”. Gee.. and you’re going to tell me the sun rises in the east next?

6. Joe Jer & Zabrina

I love the fact that they managed to get on the same plane to Bangkok from Singapore. I love the fact that they actually were the first team in Bangkok to get their clue. I love the fact that they helped out the other Malaysian team. And I especially love the fact that this was a predetermined non-elimination leg. They scrwed up badly finding directions to get to the tuk-tuk and that was their downfall this week. I don’t know if the other teams will help them out next week by helping them out with some cash, cause there’s only 6 teams left and the competition will be more fierce. We’ll see.

And might I add the editing still sucks major donkey’s ass. For two consecutive weeks, there was no suspense whatsoever in figuring out which team would arrive last at the pitstop. *shakes head*

Survivor : Cook Islands - Episode 14

by @ 12:33 pm. Filed under Survivor, Amazing Race

Hell I can’t even remember what happened in this episode. There were only 3 days separating this penultimate episode and the finale (which was already aired on Sunday). Parvateeth got booted out in this week (and I swear, the thinner she gets, the bigger those teeth grow). Anyone surprised? I don’t think so. The Pagonging continues as expected. But again, I give credit to the Raro kiddiots for at least trying to push for Yul’s hidden immunity idol to be played at Tribal Council. But lemmings will be lemmings, but more on that after I find the time to write a review on the Final Tribal Council and Reunion show (hopefully some time this week). Who would’ve thought Adumb would be the last original Raro standing?
Anyway, enjoy the episodes :

Amazing Race Asia - Episode 6

by @ 11:24 am. Filed under Amazing Race

Before I go on to The Amazing Race Asia, a recap on The Amazing Race 10 finale. So the drug addicts won, ho-hum. Like we haven’t seen twenty thousand alpha-male mactor teams win before. They’re good racers I’ll give them that, but it was kinda expected. Rob and Kim, I don’t know how the hell they got this far into the game. They’re just lucky. Bama.. well what can I say? At least they’ll go down in TAR history to be the first all female team in the Final 3. I thought the final leg sucked ass cause Bama’s game totally ended when they missed the last flight. Even if they made it, the two mile race on foot would probably put a nail on their coffin. But, well, it is a race after all. Anyway, so long TAR10. and LOOK OUT FOR THE AMAZING RACE ALL STARS!!!! Generally All Stars editions are usually crap, but I will most definitely write reviews for the TAR All Star episodes. I can’t wait till February.

Anyway, last night’s episode of The Amazing Race Asia was quite lacklustre compared to last week’s, but still better than the first four episodes. Off they go to New Zealand, first in Auckland then Dunedin and finally Queenstown. There were quite a lot of equalizers on this leg, at the airport, at the muddy race track thingy. The racers should be thankful for these equalizers (well, for the trailing teams, at least) but yet, we still see some teams strolling around, taking their own sweet time walking here and there. Hmmm.. Anyway, the challenges.. the bungee jump, HOLY SHIT WOW! That looks like so much fun! OMG I am so jealous of these racers. Seriously, that was increfuckingdible. Hopefully I’ll get to do one of those before I die.

In the order of their arrival at the pitstop :

1. Sandy & Francesca

I am really warming up to this team. They play hard and they play fair. And Sandy actually has an ability to produce speech? I thought he was only capable of displaying that cheesy grin 24×7. I actually do hope they will be one of the Final Three teams. They are fierce competitiors.

2. Andy & Laura

Behold our villains. I’m slightly put off by them this week. I know I’ve always ’supported’ villains in shows like these, but.. I dunno. There’s something that’s off putting about them. I think like Francesca commented ‘they’re playing this too damn hard (in an evil Boston Rob-ish kinda way), when there’s no reason to’ and I know I’m going back on my words, but I kinda agree with that. The penalty that was imposed on them for going above the speed limit was weird. An extra 2 minutes for every kilometers that were over the limit (46 km = 92 minutes) BUT it’s imposed at the beginning of the next leg? Hardly seems fair to me. If that was the case, I know if I reach the Final 3, I might just speed up to 300 km/h. The whole penalty thing didn’t sit well with me. They should’ve been penalised during this leg, and not the next. That’s a fucking weird rule.

3. Joe Jer & Zabrina

Yay to them for making it to the Top 3 in this leg! I was so excited when they were the first team to get to their car in Auckland. Then somehow they dropped to fifth place.. then back up again to 2nd place! Talk about making a comeback. If they hadn’t done the luge detour and did the ledge detour, they would’ve been the first team to arrive at the pitstop! But third place is definitely not bad, and they’ll be the 2nd team to leave in the next leg. You go girls! “I’m 61 kg” ~ Joe Jer. “What the hell have you been eating?” ~ Zabrina. LOL I can’t even remember the last time I was 61kg.. musta been at least a decade ago. If this team don’t end up in the Final Three at least, I will be extremely devastated.

4. Andrew & Syeon

Reminds me of Yul from Survivor Cook Islands. Great player, but ultimately boring. But should that matter? Absolutely not, it’s a race and they’re pretty good at it, so kudos to them. Although I have to laugh at the Malay subtitles “Andrew & Syeon - Berpacaran”.

5. Marsio & Mardy

Can they be less enthusiatic when opening and reading their clue? Well, whatever we want to say about the M&Ms we have to hand it to them for still being in the race. Not only that, I think there were several times that they got in 1st or 2nd place at the cluebox/leading the pack on the road bla bla bla. I’m still a little impressed that they made it this far.

6. Howard & Sahran

omigod i cant do this.. no way in hell im going to do this.. i have no capabilities of growing a pair of balls.. GOD!!!!! Seriously, they pick this idiotic queen out of a thousand applicants? They have GOT to be kidding me. Were they even considering taking yet another 4 hour penalty this time? Well if they did, I won’t be surprised at all. I mean, for fucks sake, and I have said this every week.. but seriously, if you’re going to forsake every single goddamn challenge, why the hell did you apply for this show. Argh. Bitch.

7. Melody & Sharon

Sad to say, the wrong team got eliminated this week. Sahran could’ve take a pointed or too from Melody (or was it Sharon) who actually did the bungee jump. I salute her for facing her fears and take that plunge into the ravine. Wow. Respekk bebbb. They could’ve been strong contenders in this race, but they finished last in back to back pitstops, so it’s bye bye Melody & Sharon. At least they left this show on a high note, insteaf of the bitter morons from last week.

Survivor : Cook Islands - Episode 13

by @ 2:43 pm. Filed under Survivor, Amazing Race

It’s episode 13 and there’s still SEVEN people left in the game? Urghh when will this end?

Survivor : Cool Islands - Episode 13 (260 Mb)

Amazing Race Asia - Episode 5 (350 Mb)

I don’t know how I feel about this season anymore. There is not a single person I would want to see win this game after this episode. It’s not as delicious as Marquesas, where the underdogs overturned the evil Rotu-4, which made a satisfying end game (except for the winner). In Marquesas, I find myself cheering for the underdogs. In Cook Islands, not so much. I don’t know why? They Aitu-4 are not exactly evil. But they’re so fucking bland.

There’s Yul and his political correctness and wanting to be everyone’s friend and being too calculative with his words. There’s Becky who almost has an equal face time with Darrah from the Pearl Islands. There’s Sundra, who’s just too nice and boring. Then finally, we have Ozzy, the challenge god without an iota of social skills. Sorry Ozzy fans, but I do not like him - which is always a sign that this player will win the game. Urgh.

The reward challenge was interesting, where family members get to not only participate, but also decide which other survivors and family members get to share the reward. Family visits in Survivor are always there for the tearjerker factor. Unfortunately, that whole thing did nothing for me. Don’t be surprised, I’m a heartless, cold hearted, emotionless bastard in the first place - which would make me a great Survivor contestant. Oh did I mention, cocky and arrogant too?

Anyway, Pavarteeth won the reward, and her dad chooses Sundra’s mom and Adumb’s dad (now we know where he got those lockjaws) t join in the feast. And ohmigoaticantbelievetheysentjonathanofftoexileisland. *rolleyes*

Then we’re shown back to Aitu with Yul commenting to Becky and Ozzy : “imagine this is like what it would be in the end”. Wow… if that wasn’t blatant foreshadowing on who the Final Three is, I don’t know what is. The editors are getting so fucking lazy. Seriously, there hasn’t been any real surprise this season. They advertised the double boot. They advertised the mutiny. And believe me, they are already advertising that this will be a Final Three instead of traditional Final Two. Oh well.

So they decided to hide the food to make their competitors weaker. Again, I feel indifferent about it. I know it’s good strategy to make your enemies weaker so that they can’t perform during the challenges, but I can’t help but think it was out of spite. If that wasn’t the case, why did they backtrack on their plans when Adumb/Pavarteeth/Sundra brought back food with them. If they really wanted to make Adumb/Pavarteeth weaker, they should stick to the plan. I don’t know. I think the original plan was stemmed from jealousy and spite, not real strategy.

See.. this is just some of the reasons why I don’t find myself rooting for the underdogs this time. They’ve become bullies and cocky. Why are they still forgetting that these are the same people who will form a part of the jury is beyond me. *shrug*

I have to give credit to the Raro kiddiots though, for trying to butter up to the Aitu-4 by bringing them food, and not causing much drama at camp while Jonathan was away. It actually worked and Jonathan got voted out.

So.. Candice and Jonathan got booted out back to back. The two characters that made this season interesting. I could care less who wins, right now (I still want Yul cause we don’t have an Asian winner yet). Now that the villain is gone, I dread the Final Tribal council. I dread it so much. It will be oh so boring. And, Yes, I am bitter.

Amazing Race Asia - Episode 5

by @ 10:26 am. Filed under Amazing Race

Before I start, I would just like to thank The Foodster for writing a proper review on Williams. This is the one best little ‘hidden secret’ that people who enjoy great food MUST know. Aside from the Western dishes, their garlic cheese naan is simply to fucking die for. If you haven’t tried this place, please do. You will not regret it, I promise.

Okay, on to the show. Whoever thought that the Amazing Race Asia would ever get THIS good? Not me, for sure. Hell it ranks so high up in my list of any of the Amazing Race shows (including the original one). I loved, loved, loved last night’s show. The editing has improved ten thousand folds. The suspense, the actions.. if there’s anything I could gripe about, it would have to be the sadistic producers making the poor little girl freeze to death on the swing. Even Allen Kayu didn’t bother me that much (but only mainly because I have totally blocked him out of my brain recoginition). Another thing that’s worth mentioning is how nice everyone is on this show. Almost everyone pitched in some cash for the teams that lost their cash from the past non-elimination leg.

So they’re in New Zealand this time.. just a couple of hours away from their last stop in Sydney. The whole ‘finding the little girl on the swing’ was really evil and sneaky. I can’t believe the lengths that some of the teams went to when trying to figure out what the clue was. I really felt sorry for them. The Rugby or Rigging detour was alright interesting, but the Sky Ride was… WOW! That was freaking awesome, man! Did you guys see the see through flioor on the elevator when it was going up? That is so cool! And the whole jumping off from the tower. Everything looks so awesome.. no wonder this show is called the Amazing race. Sure, some tasks may be mind numblingly boring and lame (think digging the hole in Bali), but some of the tasks like this certainly makes up for it. I wanna be on this show goddammit.

A recap on each teams, in the order of their finishing place at the pitstop :

1. Andy and Laura

Well they certainly did a quick turnaround. I initially thought Laura’s injured knee would pose as a problem, but apparently it didn’t. Good on them for coming in first. I think they’re one of the more intriguing teams in the race. They’re sneaky and pretty cheeky too. Sometimes in a good light hearted way, but I think they are being edited as our villains this season. We all need a great villain to make this show more interesting IMO.

2. Andrew & Syeon

Way to go Team Malaysia for being the first one to get the swinging girl clue! Is it a statue, is it a monument, is it some sort of device from an S&M club? Hell no.. you guys managed to figure out what exactly it was. Those cheeky bastard producers! I was a little peeved with Andrew’s comments : “What would a Malaysian know about kicking a rugby ball?”. I didn’t get this scar on my brow for nothing, dude. But in any case, YOU did it. Personally I thought it was a no brainer that this challenge would be the more easier one, for me at least. Bravo!

3. Joe Jer & Zabrina

Yay! They were the second team to get the swinging girl clue. I was so giddy with excitement that both Malaysian teams were the first ones to get the clue. They persevered through the yatch challenge. I almost thought they were going to change the tasks halfway through and was slightly nervous for them. But they never lost their pace, and went back up into the Top Three again. You go, girls! I really have high hopes for them, so they better not let me down.

4. Sahran & Howard

Seriously, has there ever been a bigger drama queen in existence? Ever? I mean, you MUST know what you are getting into when you sign up for this race, so stop being such a fucking baby and threatening to quit at every challenge. MAN! Quit your incessant whining, annoying bitch. That said, I thought his comments were pretty funny though when the operator at the Sky Ride asked if he enjoyed the magnificent view, and Sahran’s response was “That’s okay. I’ll look at the postcards”. LOL

5. Francesca and Sandy

When this team fucks up, they fuck up so bad. Race-wise I think they’re pretty good. They’ve got the competitive edge, I’m beginning to warm up to them. I think they’re nicer than my initial suspicions. I hope they won’t do any more major stumblefucks. This team could go very far indeed.

6. Marsio & Mardy

Every time I watch these boys, everything seems to be in fucking slow motion. Their movements, their speech. It actually tires me out just watching them. In any case, they did pretty decent on this leg. I thought they would’ve been gone long by now, but they certainly proved me wrong. I don’t think they’re gonna last much longer in this race though. And I fucking swear, during the rugby challenge, when they kicked the ball.. the editors edited in a farting sound (something like what the TAR editors use for their Banjo Twang of Shame sound when someone makes a major snafu on their tasks). Really! I don’t think it was my imagination. I thought that was kinda hilarious.

7. Melody & Sharon

Lady Luck was definitely not on their side. I think we are seeing more and more of them. Aside from the swinging girl boo-boo, they did pretty well for the rest of the course.

8. Idiot fuckers

What makes this episode so goddamn high in my ratings are because these two arrogant pricks are finally eliminated from the game. “Just like that?”. Just.like.that. (for a brief nano-second I was totally in love with Allen Kayu for saying that to their faces). Man, they were pissed as hell.. and some more want to cakap besar claiming that they are the biggest threats in the game. Yeah right. I’ll hand it to them for quickly finishing most of their tasks, but they SUCK SO BAD at finding directions. And this is not just the first incident. I loved it when Melody & Sharon told them that they were in trouble for getting a ride in a passenger car, and they went like “who told you we can’t?” and the girls were like “it’s in the rules, dude” (I wished they put on their whatevia pose while saying that.”

And as if you needed more proof that these two are gallavanting idiots, their response was “Okay, don’t tell on us, alright?”. Hey dipshits, you are on fucking camera. Morons. In any case, the one hour penalty at the end was absolutely delicious. Good riddance.

Next week’s previews looks awesome. The show is getting more and more interesting as we speak. And that’s such a good thing since The Amazing Race 10’s finale is only a few days away. Go BAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Survivor : Cook Islands - Episode 12

by @ 3:11 pm. Filed under Survivor, Amazing Race

Seriously, this installment of Survivor seems to be dragging on for fucking ages! But surprisingly enough, things have been very very interesting. Thanks to who? Thanks to Candice who decided to mutiny when she was given the chance to do so a couple of episodes ago. Granted that it was probably one of the dumbest moves in Survivor history, it kept the show interesting, and unpredictable so far.

Here’s the download link for the latest Survivor Cook Islands (Episode 12 - You Are A Rat) - 350 Mbytes

And for those of you who missed it, here’s the download link for Amazing Race Asia (Episode 4) - 350 Mbytes

I’ve been listening to podcasts and reading through various message boards, and I absolutely do NOT get the absolute hate people are giving to poor Candice. Yeah, she mutinied and betrayed her original Aitu members. Yeah, all she can think about is getting shagged by Adam on the other team bla bla bla. So what? She certainly paid for her mistakes when the Aitus sent her three times to Exile Island. And on this episode, was anyone really surprised she was sent there for the FOURTH FUCKING TIME?? I thought not. They really should rethink about renaming Exile Island as Candice Island. But why such contempt towards her? I just don’t get it. Candice was one of the strongest challenge competitors. She never really whined around the clock. She made a stupid but yet ballsy move that changed the game. She had that weird love affair going on with Billy. Without Candice, Survivor Cook Islands would be NOTHING. She made stupid non strategic moves that costed her the game, but she doesn’t deserve all the hate because she made this season interesting. SO SCREW ALL YOU FUCKING HATERS.

Yeah, as you can probably tell, I am a little iffy that Candice is gone cause I was rooting for her. But that mutiny… that damn mutiny. She was golden for the Final Four if it wasn’t for that cunt of a mutiny.

Anyway, back to Survivor.. what happened this week? Ah.. all the kiddiots on Raro crying foul over Jonathan’s betrayal. I don’t blame Jonathan. He did what he had to do. If I was in his place, I probably would’ve done the same to make the game interesting.

And of course, there’s the whole dealio on not feeding the lazy fuckers. It was kinda called for, but I have personally never seen such anamosity and contempt between two opposing alliances. “It’s not about a question of moral”, says Ozzy. Maybe. But even if they deserved to be left out in the cold, cutting someone off from their basic needs is just plain mean. Especially since you are already holding the majority. Everyone on Aitu lost a lot of respect points from me. Sure the Raro kiddiots ‘got what they deserved’ for being lazy.. but I totally did not expect Aitu to go down to that level.. at least not Yul and Sundra. *shakes head*

I know you might think I’m upset because I am slightly biased towards Candice, but hear me out. What they did was not the smartest thing in the world.

It’s kinda like the Aitus going… “oh so you think you outnumbered us.. but who’s holding the power now, you asshats???!?!??!!!”. Sure it’s great to root for the underdogs and see them beat the odds. They actually did an almost impossible thing, so that deserves a lot of praise and respect. But why the hell must they go out of their way to piss people who’s not holding the majority and have absolutely no power? That’s just mean.

And might I add, stupid as well? For fucks sake. I mean, for FUCKS sake. These Raro kiddiots are basically sitting ducks and will ultimately be part of the jury that will vote for them. SO WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU PISSING THESE PEOPLE OFF????? They might not hold the power now, but they WILL hold the power in the jury - WHERE IT ULTIMATELY FUCKING MATTERS? WHY???? I don’t get it.

Even if you hate these Raro kiddiots so goddamn much, just suck it all in. They only need to do that for a couple more days until they’re down to the Finals. I mean.. fucking hell. Do these people not know the concept of SURVIVOR?? Where the jury will hold the power? These are the kind of dumbasses who play Survivor that keeps forgetting to keep their emotions intact. If you want to win, you HAVE to think strategically and not emotionally. Idiots. All of them.

Anyway, out of everyone left, I would most like to see Jonathan in the Final 2, just so that we can get an explosive final tribal council. But out of everyone left, I would be most happy with a Yul win. It’s about time we get an Asian winner. I can live with Sundra winning cause she’s nice and haven’t pissed people off.  I won’t like a Becky win cause she’s playing the good cop bad cop with Yul (reminds me of Romber). And I still can’t forgive Ozzy for his poor strategic gameplays - he threw a challenge on the old tribe, and he’s just basically a lamb after the 2-tribe split. Adam and Pavarti I do not care for.
And Romeo was right. It has been confirmed that we will see a Final 3 instead of a Final 2 this time around. The final tribal council will be really really interesting.
