    Can I talk first?

This must be the only show, I tell you, where the producers SPOIL the ending in the name of product placement, because guess what, we have one stupid team in that stupid ad thing. Does this mean that this team won the race? Come out, McKay, time’s up. Please haul your fat ass back to whichever shitty TV show you cut your teeth at because you are full of fail.

Now, onto the race, let’s talk about bad planning, shall we? How about, oh, making teams take numbers so that they can’t cut queue for that bungee jump, and then let the first team go by helicopter to Hong Kong? I am not a paranoid person, but between Michael Mickey’s constant sucking up to the Pinoy Pride brigade at the AXN forums to the Pinoy Pride brigade’s increasing desperation that their beloved motherland is not leading in the race to become Asia’s #1 Country, I am starting to believe those rumors that this race is set up for a Filipino team to win. Okay, I’m joking (I hope), but that one is really bad planning as it gives a team a huge lead that they do not earn just so that Caltex is happy.

Oh Henry. I’m amazed Bernie can put up with him because that man really shows his control freak streak here. I’ll miss them, but hey, I’m not too bummed as Ida and Tania are still around.

  2. Izad Says:

Mrs G : feel free to have your say about the show. I, too, am glad that Tania/Ida are still in the race.. but I have this nagging feeling that we might not get a Msian team in the Final 3 this year. I sure hope I’m wrong. And as for the advertisement.. well I was thinking the same thing too. But more on that later once I’ve watched the recap. And I try to remain unbiased when it comes to the pride of the motherland (please.. Malaysia Boleh, anyone?), but I think it’s been pretty evident that all this Pinoy Pride is tenfolds more ridic (no offense to my Pinoy friends). It has come to the stage where I start loathing the contestants because of the annoying fantards (much like the Claymates etc).

  3. Gallivanter Says:

I’m sad for the lost of Henry/Bernie. I’m glad that Ida/Tania are still in it. I really dislike Geoff/Tisha, always seem to get a lucky break.

The other 2 groups, are so so by me. I just hope that Geoff/Tisha DO NOT win it.

  4. synical Says:

I was like, “NOOOOOOOO…..!!!!” inside when Allan Wu gave them “you’re the fifth and final team to arrive” speech. DAMN KANASAI… yes, I’m so not the happy that they’re out. Probably more so than Henry/Bernie themselves.

If Malaysia doesn’t make it to Final 3 this season (CHOI!!!!) I’ll go with the Singaporeans (just cos they represent the “selamba” as well as the Singaporean population, LOL). Just cos whoever else is left is not worth the rooting effort. (And no, I don’t have any HK or Pinoy friends to offend, so there)

Digressing a little… Is Allan voting in next week’s election? (Assuming he hasn’t given up his US citizenship…) LOL.

    Happy Halloween!!

  5. freyia Says:

The episode was a lame duck. Real shitty and what a waste of my time.

I have mixed feeling about Henry-Bernie being eliminated and all. And was totally rooting for Ida and Tania to come in first, but it seems like there’s a conspiracy amongst the producer just to ensure those fame whore Geoff and Tish-came first in the placing mat.

I mean, those two fame whore air time and lame joke was too much.

I’m still rooting for Ida-Tania and Ad-Fuzzie to be in the final three.

  6. Dan Says:

Here’s how I see the rest of the season going down in my fantasy world:

    1) AD/Fuzzie (in a truly WTF moment where they beat Geoff and Tisha to the finish line in a footrace)
    2) Geoff/Tisha (who lead the entire final leg but then Geoff is beaten in the final roadblock by Fuzzie)
    3) Ida/Tania (I know, I know…it breaks my heart but at least they made it to the finish line!)
    4) Sam/Vince (who kill themselves after rewatching footage of their retarded “fight” from last week)

And here’s how I bet it will go down:

    1) Sam/Vince :(
    2) Geoff/Tisha :( :( :(
    3) Ida/Tania (it’s even more depressing when they’re beaten by those first 2 teams)
    4) AD/Fuzzie (they might run out of steam soon if it gets physical in India)

Oh my fuck if Geofftwat and Tishacunt win this thing they’ll be the WORST WINNERS EVAH! (in TARA franchise :D nothing can top Eric/Boobies).

    Still, AD/Fuzzie, Ida/Tania

  7. neggo Says:

Wow, was I both happy and surprised that Ida and Tania survived! I liked Henry and Bernie, and am sad to see them go (I want to see more drama between them and Geoff/Tish!), but Henry was becoming a little annoying the past few episodes.

I’m Pinoy, and I don’t really associate myself with “pinoy pride”. I’d actually like to see Ida and Tania win more than anyone else (though I don’t mind seeing other teams winning). In fact, the Pinoy friends of mine that watch this show cheer more for Ida and Tania than Geoff and Tish. Are AXN forums that bad? I, personally, have never been on those forums. I just don’t want you guys thinking that the majority of Filipinos are prideful :(

I have to agree, though, that McKay is a real douche in his casting. Last season’s Filipino team was ANNOYING (I’m not the only pinoy to think that way, btw), and the first season’s Filipino teams were just weak. I actually don’t mind Geoff and Tish, but truthfully, I find it hard for myself to root against Ida and Tania; they’re simply the bomb.

  8. izad Says:

My thoughts on this show… WOW.. HOW FUCKING AMAZING ARE IDA AND TANIA???!!!?!?!?!!! I just can’t imagine where all the enthusiasm and positivity comes from. They better be on All Stars if there is one. AD and Fuzzie are amazing too! Best underdogs since the Indonesian teletubbies from the first season. Geoff and Tania seemed so-so for me this episode. Can Sam and Vince possibly get any more vanilla than they are? Watch these two guys win this race. Henry did come across as an ass during the whole MASKargo (well this is new!) challenge, but I still think Henry and Bernie are the second best team to have ever come from Malaysia. Sad to see them leave, but at least they rocked in almost all the legs so far.

Gallivanter : Sorry to see your favourite team get eliminated. They really deserved at least F3 IMHO :(

Synical : Me too. I’ll totally be rooting for AD and Fuzz if Ida and Tania are unfortunate enough not to make it to the Final Three.

Freyia : what? you didn’t find Geoff combing his bald head in the taxi funny?

Dan : Fuck you for reminding me of nastay Eric/Boobies. LOL

Neggo : I have to admit that you’re right.. Henry did come off pretty condescending in these past few episodes (but I still like them.. hehe). Hope you don’t take offense with my Pinoy comments.. I don’t go to the axn forums anymore, but that’s what some people have reported, and if you’ve been to the forums once, you definitely it’s true. Bunch of crazies, I tell ya. My best guess is the average age of people who posts there is probably 8 or 9. 13 at best. In all fairness, I do actually think Geoff/Tish might be the best team to come from the Phillipines so far - I just think Ida/Tania or AD/Fuzz would be better winners :)
