Okay where do I start? Where do I fucking start? I should be happy that Ida/Tania made it to the finals, but I’m overtaken by my rage over AD/Fuzzie quitting the race after a golden opportunity was practically given to them. Whatever good things I’ve said about these two, I officially take it back. Their actions were kind of a little FUCK YOU to the fans who’ve been rooting for them.
And YES PEOPLE! The Malaysian Goddesses have made it to the Finals. YAYGASM! Not only that, they also totally pwnt this leg of the race and came in first place at the pitstop!
Okay, so teams started off in Pune in India. They had to take a taxi to the Bhaja Caves (which looked absolutely spectacular) whiuch was about 60km away from Pune. Teams were all bunched up over the Hours of Operations (the caves open at 08:15 am). Once they get into the caves, the clue tells them to get back to Pune on a train. WTF? Go there, come back. I’m guessing the editors were really looking for some obvious Indian-train drama - but I guess that didn’t happen.
Once back in Pune, teams had to take note of a Mahatma Ghandi statue and go to a designated Standard Chartered ATM for their next clue. The clue says to key in Ghandi’s year of birth in the ATM to get the next clue. zomg what was the point of asking the teams to take note of the Ghandi statue? If the producers deliberately wanted to confuse the racers, then well done. ALOL @ Tisha typing in the wrong key. Guess what? I’m older than Ghandi by one year! Dumb dumb dumb. And even dumber, the penalty was to wait 10 minutes after they keyed in the wrong combination. The show sure do love their 10 minute penalties huh? Oh well.
The next clue reads : FLY TO MUSCAT, OMAN! Wow! Finally an amazing destination. Unfortunately no airport drama as all teams are bunched up on the same flight to Oman. Once in Muscat, they needed to find a marked vehicle and drive themselves to Al Alam Palace, then drive to Nizwah Fort which was 140 km away from Muscat. There was an Hours of Operation bunching at the fort, so all teams caught up with each other again.
I loved the fake clueboxes at the Fort : “Did you think it’s this easy?”, “So wrong”, “Sorry try again”. LOL Now TAR/TARA has placed fake clues before, but not many with the racers not knowing that they were fake till they opened it. Well done, producers. Wait, did I just say that right? Teams then had to go to Mutrah Souq for their next detour. Teams had to choose between (1) Carpet - where they had to match unique designs taken on the Sony cybershot camera, with the corresponding carpet, or (2) Count It - where they had to count thousands of betelnut (very similar to the one in TARA).
All teams chose Count It, but Geoff/Tisha changed midway through, and went to do the carpets. Then they changed back to the betel nuts. Then back to carpets. Then back to betelnuts. Seriously, is this some kind of a record? Anyway, Sam/Vince finished it first, then Ida/Tania, then AD/Fuzz and finally Geoff/Tisha. However, that didn’t really matter since all four teams got lost finding their way to the next destination, Wadi Tanuf, which was 2.5 hours away from the Souq.
Now here’s where things got interesting. The final roadblock this leg was traversing across a canyon to get their clue. Sam was the first to go. He got the clue first, then made his way back to the other side of the canyon. He stalled. Ida was the second to go. She got the clue, and overtook Sam and was the first to finish the roadblock. Geoff was the third to go. He overtook Sam and completed the roadblock. Sam was still halfway through pulling himself across the canyon, when Fuzzie started on the roadblock. Fuzzie had the clue and tried to make her way back to the other side. She stalled.
Sam was disgustingly begging to Vince saying that he couldn’t do it. Seriously, it was pathetic and disgusting. The incessant whining, begging and grovelling. YUCK. If real men want to quit, they’d just say FUCK THIS SHIT (like Tisha’s comment which was censored out at the Souk). Disgusting. Anyway, I couldn’t fucking believe it when they actually quit the task and incurred themselves a FOUR HOUR penalty.
Now, since this is the penultimate episode, I’ll just go on the record and say this. I have had a major hunch that Sam/Vince are going to win this race. HOw do I know? Let’s just say that AXN isn’t too secretive about the outcome of the show. I might be wrong (and believe me, I’m PRAYING that I’m wrong still) but I do think they’ll go ahead and win this show. So imagine my pleasant surprise when they actually quit the roadblock!
That gave AD/Fuzz a 3.5 hour lead!!!!!!!! which was a fucking golden opportunity because they already have the 30-minutes penalty from the last episode. I actually thought with 3.5 hours to go, there’s no fucking chance in hell that these two people wouldn’t try and finish the roadblock.
Alas.. they too chose to quit. Motherfuck. Seriously, that was a major FUCK YOU to all your fans. Urgh.
Next up was the pitstop. Ida and Tania were the first ones to arrive (officially the best TARA team in existence ever), Geoff and Tisha was second (they deserved it) and Sam/Vince were third (luckiest asshats ever, especially if they go on winning this race). AD/Fuzz- buhbye. And I can’t believe I’m actually saying this since I’ve been supporting them since Episode 1, but good fucking riddance.
Now, next week’s preview is pretty interesting. The following tags have been used in the previews to describe the teams :
I’m sorry but it’s painfully obvious that Sam/Vince is going to win. Again, this is not a spoiler, but a major, major hunch that I have, so let’s all pray that I’m wrong.. and the Malaysian Goddesses will go ahead and win this.
ps. Oman is amazing! It’s a shame that we saw so little of it on the show.

Ok sorry, but fuck that shit. With their little tags they were given, it’s obviously pointing to a Sam/Vince win. I mean, “underdogs?”. Bitch fucking please, an underdog team does not fucking come 1st 3 times in a season and have more 1st place finishes than anyone in the same season. More like overdogs. No, more like whiny bitch = Sam.
Ida and Tania are amazing, not lucky. The only time they got lucky was with the NELs, and the only reason they got hit with the 2nd NEL was because of retarded race planning.
Geoff and Tisha. No comment.
AD/Fuzzie. Fuck them, I was rooting for them so so SO badly (as you could’ve probably seen on Sucks izad lol) and they fucking quit a RB that was so much easier than the one the Bowling Mum’s had to do the episode they were eliminated. Bowling mums >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> AD/Fuzzie.

Dan : I know what you mean. But don’t let my recap derail you from watching the episode. I thought this was a fantastic episode (except for the last five minutes).
November 13th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
Oh I’ll still watch alright. I’ll just keep my family from smashing the laptop. They loved AD/Fuzzie.
Now they’ll be rooting for Ida/Tania. Best. Taste. Ever.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:57 pm
Why the heck AD/Fuzzie want to give up when the opportunity is handed to them already????? She could have at least try to pull herself together and do it slowly but steady! Wasted, really wasted!
My instinct tells me Geoff/Tisha so going to win TARA3!
November 13th, 2008 at 11:58 pm
Dan : Granted that the roadblock WAS extremely physical.. Fuzzie had 3.5 hours to stop, rest a while, and attempt again. But from the footage it seemed as though she quit just moments after Sam quit - I literally had no words at the time.
hcfoo : at this exact moment, I think I’d rather see Geoff/Tisha win over Sam/Vince. LOL
November 14th, 2008 at 12:10 am
I do not want Sam and Vince to win. This is because I don’t like teams that proclaim themselves to be full of integrity and stuff only to leech from teams that they are “allied with” and run off at the earliest opportunity. If I have to choose between G/T and S/V, I’d root for G/T to win.
But oh my, Mahatma Ghandi was born in 1977? Do Tisha and Geoff even know who Ghandi is?
Ida and Tania are the goddesses of this race. Sam and Vince are the lucky ones, not these two who BOUNDED from being at the bottom twice, but hey, don’t let me stop McKay and his buddies from revising history.
This episode blows. Too many bunching and worse, a take-a-number Roadblock located just before a walk to the Pit Stop. Are the designer on drugs?
Having said that, yeah, good riddance to AD and Fuzzie. I try to sympathize with them since the Roadblock must not be easy, but (a) there is no excuse why AD can’t do this Roadblock and (b) dude, you have a four hour lead! FOUR HOURS! FOUR HOURS!!!! Seriously, I’m so disgusted with this team, I’m pleased to see the last of them because I feel cheated for rooting for them all this while. What an embarrassing way to go.
November 14th, 2008 at 12:15 am
MrsG : Yay! At least we’re on the same page on preferring Geoff/Tisha over Sam/Vince for the win for the exact same reason (of course that’s not going to happen right?). Now that you mentioned it, you’re right - the design for this leg is rather terrible.. but I was too busy enjoying what little we see of Oman, and enjoying Ida/Tania rocking this leg. They truly did! And yes, I feel the exact same way about rooting for AD/Fuzz : CHEATED!
November 14th, 2008 at 8:49 am
First of all, woohooooooooooo to Ida and Tania. I truly pray and hope they will win this one. They are the best team ever! And must I say this for the record, all 3 seasons, all women Malaysian team got to the finale! Now, that proved something, you reckon?
And I’m so sorry that A.D and Fuzzie quit. But truly I was shocked that Fuzzie even do the last task. A.D. should had done it seeing how Sam couldn’t do it. Judging from Fuzzie’s weight, one surely know it would be impossible for her to pull herself. Use some common sense! And, Fuzzie shouldn’t just quit. Give it a bit rest, come on.. Sam and Vince got 4 hours penalty. That’s enough time to even gain her strength then pull herself to the end. So I can see A.D.’s frustration. But then again, for them to go this far is an achievement. Even I thought they would be the first team to be eliminated when it was first started.
So, for now.. I’m praying hard for Ida and Tania!
November 14th, 2008 at 9:07 am
Stupid AD/Fuzzie! You’re right, a GOLDEN opportunity and she just gave up! If they were a tad smarter, they would’ve guessed what’s ahead and sent the OTHER person to do the roadblock.
WASTED!!!!
I hate Geoff, and am rooting for Ida/Tania!!
November 14th, 2008 at 9:40 am
I KNOW!! My mum and I were thinking the same thing: Why didn’t AD do the Roadblock? (Could be cos she’s done the number already or what, but STILL…)
So potong steam the Singaporean team.
But on the other hand…Malaysia’s in the final three again! Woo hoo!
November 14th, 2008 at 4:04 pm
kann…
hem orgasm terus masa ida n tania be the first
hopefully they can win this race..benci laa team2 yg lain tu
omann…sangaaattttt cantekk..lets nyehhhhhh

Latique : zomg.. i just realized that we have THREE female/female Msian teams in the finales from TARA1 to TARA3 (and the other female/female team that didn’t make it, ended up 4th.. which ain’t too bad). WOW MALAYSIAN FEMALE TEAM ROCKS!!!
Gallivanter : I know, right? At least stay for at least 30 minutes on the line, and try regain some strength before totally giving up. But it seems that she quit 3 or 4 minutes after Sam did. WTF.
Synical : Exactly! After the whole Macau Tower thingy I’m fucking surprised AD didn’t step in to do the roadblock.
Neo : Oman.. let’s jom!
And I said I’d rather see Geoff/Tish win over Sam/Vince yesterday? But after dropping by the AXN forum, I seriously hope otherwise. Whatever it is, it’s almost guaranteed that the next Pinoy racers would come from the Roviltwat clan. God help us.
And I still loathe Sam (more so than Vince).. his look of mock-surprise when Allan announced that they made it to the finals when they reached the pitstop? So vomit-worthy.
November 15th, 2008 at 3:08 pm
I scratched my head when AD/Fuzzie decided to give up. I was scratching so hard all my hair fell off. You guys have said it, and I’ll say it again: WTF!? THAT WAS TRULY A WTF MOMENT. Now, I haven’t been major rooters for this team, but seriously, what in the living HELL were they thinking? WOW.
On top of that, watching Sam and Vince argue was like watching a drama. It was like the Titanic when the chick was telling the guy in the freezing water to hold on, except Sam and Vince’s version was much lamer. Jeez.
As for Geoff and Tish, I thought they deserved the spot, but I still think Geoff is a jackass. I know it’s a competition, but he should really get some kind of anger management. He treats Tish like shit, and is perhaps why Tish is so bitchy at times.
Good on Ida and Tania for coming in first. They truly deserved it than any of the other teams.
Guess we’ll see how it goes down in the next episode
November 16th, 2008 at 2:15 am
hi there guys!
yes, this is the REAL ida…
Izad, i broke my rule and have been reading yr recaps & comments here. Yrs is one of the few i do read on the net.
Just wanted to say thanks to you and all yr friends for your fab support for T & i. ep 10 was a nerve wracking one for all the racers, no one wants to be eliminated first or last - they’re just the hardest eliminations to accept… and we loved this one, (esp given the outcome
the last episode is… uhh… CRAZY!
November 16th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
neggo : Geoff does come across like a jackass.. especially with his “then why are trying to fucking help me” comment to a local. But I’d still take him over Roviltwat and the lame jokes. Sry.
Ida : ZOMG people, this IS the real Ida <3 <3 <3 Shame on you for breaking your rule LOL. Anyway, I believe I speak on behalf all of us when I say that we’re so proud and happy that you’re in the finals… and we hope you win this thing! Regardless how it goes, you and Tania have been a great addition to the cast in making this an exciting season! Well done and good luck for all the post show interviews! <3 Much love <3
