My birthdate is the same as Simon Cowell's. What's your bloody excuse, eh?

So tonight’s the night where the band formerly known as Supernova finally crowns their weiner (make no mistake, that was not a typo). Lukas Rossi won the ultimate gig this season by clinching the title of being the frontman of the band formerly known as Supernova. Congratulations to him? No, I don’t think so. Call me bitter, call me an asshole but I would not so much give an iota to boost his ego by making him think he’s the best out of the bunch. He may be right for the band, but that’s only an insult to the band.
Anyway, this might be a really short recap. The first hour showed a magnificent recap of the season. One of the more interesting bits were the dialogue that the band had with Zayra, asking her if she actually owns any of their records, and her tart response was simply ‘Baby, I was in my diapers when your music came out’. Mmm.. suh-NAP! The recap also highlighted Dilana’s crazy-assed downward spiral (although I really had a laugh out loud moment when they showed her sounding like a dog howling in heat), Lukas’s annoying antics with the other band members and Magni’s family visit.
Recap done and onto the show. Brooke Burke announced the Bottom Two - Magni and Toby who each sang a song, before the Tommyhawk announced it was Magni’s turn to go. When it came down to the Final Three, all were asked to plead their case to the band that was formerly known as Supernova as to why they should win it. Lukas licked some ass and gave credit to the band for not becoming egocentric and ‘become the bad guys’ even though they had the means to do so. Dilana said Lukas is amazing, and Toby is great, but SHE is the One. Sorry honey, but apparently you were indeed the One to prove that reality show winners of late comes from Suckage City. Toby made a joke saying he should win cause he was the tallest.
The three were given a last chance to perform on stage. Lukas sang Bittersweet Symphony. Dilana sang Zombie. Toby sang Somebody Told Me when he should really be singing Throw It Away. But even if he did sing that song (and would’ve brought the house down for the FOURTH time), I had no doubt in my mind that he would be cut from the Final Three, leaving Dilana and Lukas as the Final Two.
Tommy Lee announced that Lukas was the winner. Was it just me or am I just imagining that if Dilana had won, the applause in the crowd would be 100 times much louder? Maybe it’s just me. Dilana seemed upset, so I’m not even sure what Navarro said about playing for her and Gilby offering his writing and producing skills, were sincere. I could really care less at the moment.

In hindsight, I really do think the band formerly known as Supernova made the right choice. Granted that I might be a little bitter over the outcome, I was never a fan of the band’s original material. Given the bubble-gum pop ‘rock’ that they’re playing, and the fucking midget’s inaudible mush mouthed vocals, I honestly do NOT think the band would even get close to rivalling INXS’s success post-Rockstar. Count on it.
As for Toby, I am waiting for him to release his original Throw It Away single. It is a guaranteed hit. Out of the final four, I think he will find the fastest success with this song. And that song is all him, baby. He can even pull it off if he becomes a solo artist.
Magni, I do think he’s currently one of the most famous Icelandic ever. I won’t be surprised if they even inaugarate a Magni Day over there. Will he find similar success outside of Iceland, it’s hard to say. I mean, look at Chris Daughtry, all the broo-ha-ha when he got booted and how he’s going to be bigger than everyone else left in the show (also, please refer to Maroulis, Constantine), but look where he is now today. Without a solid band, these folks will probably find it hard to be a big success (Toby is an exception).
Dilana. My Dilana. I’m sorry the Rising Phoenix story arc didn’t turn out true. Mark Burnett has truly lost his marbles, I guess. As much as I want Dilana to succeed, I’m not keeping my expectations up. It would certainly be easier for her to ‘break through’ to the general listening audience now, but will she be BIG? I’m not holding my hopes up (Bitch please, look at Elliot Yamin.. where is HE know? Poor monkey boy <3 ). I do wish her success though, and I will lend her my support if she actually releases some interesting materials in the future.
And I miss Storm so much after watching the recap show.
Now, onto more interesting stuff. Survivor : Cook Islands starts tomorrow, biznitches! That’s all that matters right now. Woohoo! I can’t wait to go back to my spoiling and speculating days.. finding Mark Burnett’s hidden easter eggs and red herrings throughout this marvelous show. I highly doubt fucking ntv7 will be smart enough to show them again this time but MIRC and TORRENT are your friends. Remember that, people. Interestingly enough, ntv7 actually never finished showing Vanuatu and never showed Palau - of which DVDs I’ve just bought from Amazon - but it feels like they haven’t showed it in ages. Or maybe it’s just because I’ve actually quite watching ntv7 in its entirety since they abruptly ended Vanuatu about a year ago. Dumbass motherfuckers.

OMG was that crackhead Paula Abdul in the audience? Will we never be spared of her on our television? I loved Navarro’s Survivor (Survivor : Cook Islands starts in 2 days people! TWO FUCKING DAYS! Can you feel the excrement????) “Take your torch and head back to camp” shout out. I also loved the 10-minute tribute, or a recap if you must say, of the Final 4’s journey in this competition. That was fantastic. Anyway, by this time you’d already know I am NO huge fan of Ryan Star but I must give him props for the amazing song and performance. And I must cut him some slack cause I know for a fact that he’s rooting for Dilana to win. AND I finally figured out that sometimes, he reminds me of Eddie Vader from Pearl Jam.

Toby ~ Karma Police (Radiohead)
I love this song, but I don’t know if it’s the right one to sing at this stage of the competition. Toby is well known for his stage presence and the magic that he brings on stage. This song does nothing for him. It’s a shame cause, like Navarro, this is one of my favourite Radiohead songs ever, and I had pegged Toby as a front-runner very early & late in the show.. but the song just didn’t do him any favour. 5 out of 10.

Toby ~ Throw It Away
Not gonna comment much on this since we’ve already heard it twice before. And THREE times in, and I still find myself loving the song. The only reason I would want Toby to win is to hear this song on the charts. The song is amazing. EVS, mate. EVS. 8 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Fix You (Coldplay)
A Coldfuckingplay song. Should I even bother commenting on this? Okay, I’ll try to be fair… no sorry, I can’t. Over one hundred songs and he chooses fucking Coldplay.? Gimme a fucking break. Okay, okay fine. He did try to fix the song up a bit, but I still didn’t like it, and more importantly, I still don’t like HIM. 3 out of 10.

Lukas ~ Head Spinning
We’ve heard this before. He may be The Chosen One, but he will always be MUSHMOUTH to me. I can live with any one of the other three winning, but not Pukas. Rossi Posse, my ass. Even stripping down the song to the bare accoustics didn’t bring out the words in him. Okay, maybe we can hear one or two words better this time around, but I’d much rather hear this song with the full band playing. The accoustic version makes me feel all depressed and shit. And how appropriate was it that the camera panned in on Paula Abdul during a song called ‘Head Spinning’? LOL Priceless. 5 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Roxanne (The Police)
I don’t know why the House Band was bitching about the arrangement in the reality episode, but that was amazing. I have to say that I do NOT like this song (weakest Police song by far) but that somehow really worked for me. I loved how the three guys were singing the backup vocals. Maybe that made the difference? Who knows? Who cares? I loved it. Dilana is not trying to front Supernova. She IS Supernova. 8 out of 10.

Dilana ~ Supersoul
I was dreading the fact that I was gonna have to listen to this song again, cause I honestly didn’t like this song that much last week. Maybe it’s because she just pulled a great performance, but I think this song sounded slightly better tonight. Not by much though, but good enough. 6 out of 10.
Magni ~ Hush (Deep Purple)
Nice song. I loved it. Unfortunately I felt Magni’s performance lacked a certain je ne sais quoi. Doesn’t seen he was really putting his full heart and soul into this performance. And he sounded out of breath. It was still good though, but I’m a little disappointed cause it could’ve been more anthemic and Magni could’ve brought the house down with this one. 7.5 out of 10.

Magni ~ When The Time Comes
The song didn’t work the first time, and it didn’t work the second time. I just don’t like the melody of the chorus. Basically my feelings on this song didn’t change at all since I last heard it. And basically, all original songs that followed Toby’s Throw It Away sucked ass in comparison. 5 out of 10.
Final Rankings :

I LOVE watching the reality drama segment and I always wait for the Banjo Twang of Shame moment (this week we heard it during Dilana’s suggestion of using ‘Ctrl-Alt-Delete’ for her song lyrics). I just realized that we are actually more privileged than our North American counterparts because the web episodes (the 20-minutes reality drama segment) is actually shown on the air, whereas they can only watch it over the internet. It was one of the more fun episodes to watch where you can see them actually having fun in the swimming pool.
Dilana ~ Behind Blue Eyes (The Who)
I don’t know if what I’m gonna say has somehow been affected by what the editors have been shoving in our faces, but seriously, I have never seen such a great fall from grace than Dilana. From the can-do-no-wrong girl, she has somehow turned into this do-everything-wrong girl. Such negative editting I have ever witnessed I tell you. Her stocks have definitely plummeted to the middle of the earth and it’s crystal clear that they (Te Powers That Be) absolutely do not want her to win. What a shame. Anyway, she started off rather weak, bt picked it up for bit. Sadly, it was one of her weakest performance to date. 6 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Super Soul (original composition)
Whatever the producers are trying to do, it’s working. Two weeks ago, I probably would’ve been floored over this performance, but tonight I felt it was just okay with a lower case ‘o’. It’s not catchy at all. Am I disappointed? Sure. The only thing that she’s proven this week is she ain’t no songwriter. 5.5 out of 10.
Magni ~ Back In The USSR (The Beatles)
Although slightly drowned out by the music, I thought Magni did good. I like his voice tonight. It seemed a little different. Good different. It was as though he found that delicate balance of becoming half of the cool and subdued Magni, and half of the angry intense Magni. Me likey. 6 out of 10.
Magni ~ When The Time Comes (original composition)
I don’t care much for this performance, or the song itself. The bridge sounded weird for me. I guess maybe it’s the kind of song that will grow on you? But Tommy brought up a great point (I was thinking it, but wasn’t writing it down). Both the performances sounded too similar. His tart response came off a little cocky, but also a little funny at the same time. “It sounds the same cause I’m singing it”. OooOooOoOOooh Suh-NAPPP!!! 5 out of 10.
Storm ~ Suffragrate City (David Bowie)
I like the suit that she was wearing tonight. Storm sounded slightly off in all of the verses, in my opinion. The chorus was good, and she really picked it up towards the end, which deserves serious praise. Nice. 7.5 out of 10.
Storm ~ Ladylike (original composition)
I’m not feeling much at all for this song. I think it would sound a gazillion times better if she went ahead and sung “what the FUCK is Ladylike?” (I know she sung “what the WHAT is ladylike” because of censorship issues, but still.. i would’ve felt a lot better about this song even if they bleeped out the word FUCK). No, I’m not getting what the fuss is all about the performance. It was just decent for me. 6 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Livin On A Prayer (Bon Jovi)
I am NOT a fan of Lukas, and am NOT a fan of Bon Jovi. That said, I thought the slow rearrangement of the song was interesting. In a great way? In a bad way? I can’t really tell. But he changed the melody of the chorus too damn much. He could’ve made this a winning performance, but he didn’t. 5 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Head Spinning (original composition)
I actually liked this song. The chorus is way catchy. They lyrics is somewhat decent (yeah I could actually make out some of the lyrics that he sang). Well done. Good job you midget freak. 7.5 out of 10.
Toby ~ Mr Brightside (the Killers)
It’s easy to dismiss Toby as the pretty boy front man, but I have always found most of his performances fun. Although he sounded a little flat (not sure if this is attributed to the song itself or not), but Toby almost always manages to make a song anthemic. He did really well with this song. 7.5 out of 10.
Toby ~ Throw It Away (original composition)
That was a great great song. He’s a smart guy. It’s really catchy and easy to get the immediate reactions from the audience (the oh oh oh oh parts) which is important when introducing a never-been-heard song. It’s a great and smart way for people to easily get into the performance. (I’m actually really surprised Navarro and Gilby say almost the same things that I did!). I loved it. Aside from Zayra and possibly Ryan, this is one of the original compositions that really deserves an encore. 8.5 out of 10.

I love love love this picture. It looks like it’s a photo shot right out of the set of “Clue” doesn’t it?

Rockstar : Supernova is a tale of redemption. Like the Phoenix rising from the flames, so does Dilana, as the world sees her rising from Navarro’s flames (oh look Ma.. it’s a double meaning!) and kicking back into gear. Yeah, like you didn’t see that from fucking miles away. Man, I love this show. I got a little moist (no, not down below) watching the episode. I know, I’m such a sucker.. sure Dilana’s a crazy bitch, but that’s the more reason to love her. Seriously, just give it to her already.
Lukas ~ Lithium (Nirvana)

The house band was right, the pause in the middle of the song was so un-Nirvana-like. And I mean that in a bad way. It was still an ejoyable performance, but it’s hard to put this ahead of Dilana’s version earlier this season. But it was still quite good. 7 out of 10.
Magni ~ I, Alone (Live)
I’m not sure if I like Magni singing slow songs. He sounds so.. ordinary. But I loved everything once he hit the chorus cause he hit it hard, baby. Overall, I didn’t think the performance was worthy of a Final 6 standard, it was okay. Personally I loved how he reasoned for the viewers to vote for him. Australians vote for Toby? Pffft. Canada voting for Lukas? You can definitely do better than that. And Americans voting for Ryan? LOL what a joke. That was a good dig, Magni. 6.5 out of 10.
Ryan ~ Clocks (Coldplay)
(Please note that all of the following quoted words should be read sarcastically) I don’t care that the song is chosen by the ‘fans‘ but tough fucking shit, dude for getting a Crapplay ‘song‘. What a combination, eh? The fucking fake singer that I dislike the most (who apparently have ‘TREMENDOUS‘ support from ‘fans‘ here in Malaysia. Anjing betina, tolonglah) singing a song by the most overfuckingrated ‘band‘ ever (I swear whenever I hear their songs start playing on the radio, I would turn it off. No shit, people. And to think I went to one of their ‘concerts‘. Yuck!) And Ryan ‘Star‘ actually made it so much easier for me, because vocal-wise he was truly beyond shite. Falsetto my ass. Fake posing asshole. 3 out of 10.
Storm ~ Bring Me To Life (Evanesence)

I heart Auntie Storm. I love her voice and am quite simply amazed that she pulled the song off vocally. I didn’t think she had the range for it cause everyone knows an Evanesence (sp?) song is really hard to pull off. So my hat goes off to her. Awesome. But you can tell that she was focusing too much on her singing, but it’s all good to me, baby. And Toby sounded hot on the backing vocals (I can’t help but toyed with the idea of them using the backing vocals from One In A Million LOL). 8 out of 10.

Toby ~ Rebel Yell (Billy Idol)
Eh.. it was good but it didn’t really grab my attention… at the beginning. Until he got all the backup dancers on stage (lucky bitches). From that moment till the end, Toby gets a 10 for stage presence. He really knows how to work the audience. Overall, his vocals was not really outstanding. It’s not that bad, but it was certainly better than Lukas’ version earlier this season. 7.5 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Mother Mother (Tracy Bonham)
*orgasm* I don’t know why but this performance reminds me a hell lot of her performance of Lithium. Intense, angry, explosive. Seriously, that was really good. God, I love LOVE this woman. If she wins this gig, I am totally going to one of their concerts. You can bet on it. <3 Dilana.. I wanna. 9 out of 10.

Patrice ~ Beautiful Thing (Original Composition)
The music was decent but the melody was all wrong.. it was too teeny-boppy for my liking. It wasn’t even catchy either. And is it just me or did her voice sound too gyrating than it normally is tonight? It wasn’t that good, and to tell you the truth, it was kinda painful having to sit through the entire song. 4 out of 10
Magni ~ Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
This song will always remind me of my time in MRSM. Ahhh glory glory days. I personally think Magni is starting to slack week after week ever since his wife came over for that surprise visit. Sometimes, his singing can almost be summed up as weak. But when he reaches the rocking and angry bits, he definitely delievers. Not as good as I thought he could’ve been, but it was good nonetheless. (And what Navarro said actually summed up my exact sentiments of Magni.. when the song calls for angst, he delivers the angst). 7 out of 10.
Ryan ~ Back Of Your Car (original composition)
Has hell frozen over? That was really good. I honestly enjoyed the performance. The song itself was bitching and Ryan wasn’t exactly 100% angry throughout the song (which is a first!). What he did with the guitar (ie. trashing it) was utter brilliance, after what Supernova commented on Magni. I had predicted the Final 4 will be Dilana, Storm, Magni and Lukas.. but it looks like Ryan might just bump one of the guys off (possibly Lukas).. AND unless Dilana makes a major fuck up.. Ryan could really win this. *shudder*. He’s shown versatility, he’s shown his writing skills and he’s performance showed good progress in the eyes of the band. But tonight’s performance.. I was impressed. I actually liked the song too. Personally I still don’t want to see him win, cause to me he will always be a P O S E R, (I almost barfed when I read the article in the Star newspaper today, that he has his eyes on Malaysia because there ‘has been tremendous support’ from Malaysia. Fucking Malaysian voters!!!) but yeah tonight was good. 7.5 out of 10.
Storm ~ Cryin’ (Aerosmith)
Awwww I missed Auntie Storm eye-fucking the camera. She hasn’t done that in two weeks, but there it was again tonight. LOL. There wasn’t any of your usual over the top Storm theatrics, but I thought it was a really strong, solid performance. Well, she could just sit on the toilet and that could be a thousand times better than her performance last week, but I really liked it a lot. 8 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Every Breath You Take (The Police)
WHat the fuck was up with the freaky feather eyelashes? Dilana’s performance tonight was good. It was pleasant. A very safe Dilana performance. It sounded way too much like the original version which made it kinda anti-climactic. I can’t say I enjoyed it that much. I’m just glad she didn’t go ahead and tell us the whole sob story of her estranged relationship with her mom. Well, it doesn’t really matter though. She’s still gonna win this gig unless she royally fucks up her original composition, I mean we all know how she did on the writing skills clinic (she kinda sucked ass). Oh well. Oooh and I loved the quick shot to Lukas as the band was praising her. Boy that midget was pissed. LOL. 7.5 out of 10.
Toby ~ Layla (Derek & The Dominoes)
Wow. I loved it. Vocally he was great. I could do without him taking him stripping on stage but I guess that’s what rockers do anyway (only not here in Malaysia of course.. hahaha stupid dumbass rules.. well that basically guarantees that Madonna will never ever set her foot on our soil.. idiots). Anyway, I loved how he performed all over the stage. With his fellow rockers, with the house band, and seeing him interacting with the audience. It was captivating. One of the best stage performances yet. If he’s not in the bottom three tomorrow, I really hope he gets the encore. (even if he goes out tomorrow, that deserves an encore) 8 out of 10.
Lukas ~ All The Things That I’ve Done (The Killers)
He’s quite the opposite of Magni, isn’t he? He sounds good when he’s not rocking, but when he does, you get this thing in his voice.. some sort of writhing, whimpering and whining shit that he enjoys doing so much. Go the fuck home Lukas. You have over extended your stay. 4.5 out of 10.
1. Storm ~ 8 out of 10.
1. Toby ~ 8 out of 10.
3. Dilana ~ 7.5 out of 10. *gasp!*
3. Ryan ~ 7.5 out of 10.
5. Magni ~ 7 out of 10.
6. Lukas ~ 4.5 out of 10.
7. Patrice ~ 4 out of 10

Zayra ~ Lluvia De Mar (original composition)
I’m loving the Bjork dress. I’m actually amazed to see how similar her style and voice is to Bjork herself. That was actually hauntingly beautiful. The ending almost (almost!) gave me goosebumps. She will probably sell well, but just not with Supernova. There’s no way in hell Supernova would carry this song, but yeah I actually really do like the song. Call me crazy but I tnink that deserves a 6 out of 10.
Magni ~ Starman (David Bowie)
My brother called me up during the performance so I only got to hear the second half. But from what I heard, it was really really bland. Made me wish I didn’t ask my brother to stop mumbling about PS/2 and USB ports and to just sod off and call me back again in an hour’s time. 5.5 out of 10.
Patrice ~ Message In A Bottle
Goodness me. WHat the hell happened to Patrice? Has she always sucked this bad? I don’t think so but man, that was paltry. I was painfully bored (and I got the impression that she was too). She needs to go. At least we didn’t have to see her smirk this time around. 4 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Hero (Chad Kroeger)
I hope Lukas stops singing these kinds of songs, cause I really don’t want to start liking him. I thought it was pretty good. Not REALLY good, but good enough (for Lukas’ standard). It was one of his more decent performances, but there just was too much overpimping from Navarro that I honestly could do without. 6.5 out of 10.
Storm ~ I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor)
Auntie Storm (thanks Y!) is truly an AILF (do you honestly need explanation what does stands for?) but that was exceptionally hideous. Yuck. So much so, that now I feel compelled to share this clip with my fellow readers :
I give THAT a 10 out of 10. But for Auntie Storm, only a 2 out of 10. Her performance could’ve used a crystal ball too.
Toby ~ Solsbury Hill (Peter Gabriel)
I love this song. Despite a minor stumblefuck just before the bridge, I tought Toby did pretty well. He could’ve commanded the audience a little bit more though. The drum bit was pretty interesting, but when I think about him using the loud speaker last week, and now these bongo drums, it just felt tad cheesy. But overall, it was all good. 7 out of 10.
Ryan ~ In The Air Tonight (Phil COllins)
Oh for fucks sake, I cannot take any more of his deranged, crazed, hyperventilating, angst ridden expression. In comparison, it makes Chris Egghead Daughtry’s poker face so much more tolerable (I can’t believe I just said that). Yuck yuck yuck. I do not like this guy. HE IS SUCH A FUCKING P.O.S.E.R. Asshole. 5 out of 10. And I take back what I said about Lucas. I certainly do NOT get he over pimping for this asshat.
Dilana ~ Cats In The Cradle
I love this song too. I don’t know what it is about Dilana. Even for a stripped down unplugged version of the song, you can still feel the raw edginess, the rock, in the essence of her voice. SHE IS THE ONE, Y’ALL! I love you Dilana and I want to have a vagina implant and have your babies! An 8 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Won’t Get Fooled Again (The Who)
Gilby’s on lead for this. I loved it (buig fucking surprise, huh?) The fact that Dilana didn’t know this song and pulled that spectacular off deserves a lot of praise. It was great, I love Dilana to death and I hope Navarro’s words will come true. Dilana for the win, baby! 9 out of 10
Jill ~ Mother Mother (Tracy Bonham)
That was kinda intense. I actually love her new straight hair look. One of her better performances cause there was no overdoing stuff. And this was how she should’ve done it all throughout. 7 out of 10.
Ryan ~ Painted Black (The Stones)
His theatircs was so goddamn cheesy if you ask me. I personally thought the old trying-to-hard Ryan is back. He’s got a decent lower range, I’ll give him that. I’m just not a fan when he’s screeching. 4 out of 10.
Storm ~ We Are The Champions (Queen)
Wow. She’s got major balls for taking on this classic. Storm is hot in every sense. Vocals, looks, stage presence, audience interactions, the works!bSuperb. If I HAVE to find any fault in that, I’d have to say it was a little laidback compared to her previous performances. 9 out of 10.
Zayra ~ All The Young Dudes (David Bowie)
Magni played guitar on this, which came off as a surprise to me. But oh come on, this running Latina joke is almost getting stale. Her vocals are annoying. It was totally horrendous but it was just enough to keep me from changing the channel. 3 out of 10.
Josh ~ Interstate Love Song (Stone Temple Pilots)
Tommy Lee played drums on this one. Despite the fact that he missed a line, like Magni with Plush, Josh will get an obscenely absurd extra points than he deserve for not totally destroying one of my FAVOURITE SONGS EVAH. I actually kinda loved it, but I think I could’ve probably taken that song and rocked it more (again, I will probably soon have my foot in my mouth for making this statement). 8 out of 10.
Magni ~ The Dolphin’s Cry (Live)
I loved loved the accoustic performance. Really brings out his voice. And man, I haven’t heard this long in a long long looooong while! That was excellent. I loved this. Now, THIS performance deserves praise, not the overrated piece of piano shit that was Ryan’s performance from last week. 8.5 out of 10.
Patrice ~ Instant Karma (John Lennon)
Something about Patrice bothers me. It might be her hair, it might be her perpetual smirk, I dunno. There was nothing wrong with that performance but it just didn’t grab me like it should. 6 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Creep (Radiohead)
The first Lukas performance that I truly enjoyed. For once, I can actually hear what he’s singing, and what could possibly be a small hint of melody in his natural voice. That was hot and explosive. I loved it, and I hope he gets the encore tomorrow. 9 out of 10.
TOby ~ Burning Down The House (Talking Heads)
Finally! We’re seeing the old Toby resurface back again. Energetic and strong vocals, that was truly awesome. He’s back in the game, people!! LOve love loved it!! 9 out of 10.
I don’t know what’s going on, but this is the BEST Top 10 reality show performance ever (despite Ryan and Zayra in the fold).. and thank GOD there’s no Coldplay traxcks this week ::shudder::
01. Dilana ~ 9 out of 10
01. Lukas ~ 9 out of 10.
01. Toby ~ 9 out of 10.
04. Storm ~ 9 out of 10.
05. Magni ~ 8.5 out of 10.
06. Josh ~ 8 out of 10.
07. Jill ~ 7 out of 10.
08. Patrice ~ 6 out of 10.
09. Ryan ~ 4 out of 10.
10. Zayra ~ 3 out of 10.
Patrice ~ Higher Ground (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
Love the freaky hairdo, kinda fits her psychobitch image to a tee. Her performance however, was flat. I think it was due to the pressure of having Tommy Lee on drums. The song was explosive. Patrice was not. 4 out of 10.
Josh ~ Santeria (Sublime)
Josh is a great singer but WTF? This song doesn’t have a place in the competition. If this was a non Rockstar performance, I would’ve given that an 8 or even a 9 out of 10. But keeping it fair, in this competition, the best I can give him is a 5 out of 10. If Josh is going to ’stay true to himself’ and not willing to change for the band, then he might as well leave the competition tomorrow. It’s RockStar : Supernova, not RockStar : Josh Whatzisname.
Dilana ~ Can’t Get Enough (Bad Company)
Dilana is just fucking awesome. Full stop. Love love love is all I have for her. I know I’ve just recently crowned Janelle (from Big Brother 6) as my favourite reality contestant EVER, but looks like she’s gonna pass her crown to Dilana now. Seriously, if Dilana doesn’t end up fronting Supernova, I will totally support whatever band she’ll be playing for. 9 out of 10.
Toby ~ Pennyroyal Tea (Nirvana)
That was an interesting take on a Nirvana classic, but to go into the crowd after Dilana just did the exact same thing, was uber lame. Meh. I think Toby it losing it week after week. 6 out of 10.
Zayra ~ 867-5309/Jenny (Tommy Tutone)
LMAO. OMG Zayra. Does she realize that she sucks? With the lyrics and the outfit, it seemed like a scene out of a D-rated vampiric lesbo-erotic flick. 3 out of 10.
Magni ~ Clocks (Coldfuckingplay)
I should automatically give him the lowest point possible for choosing a fucking lame Colpady song (well, actually all their songs are fucking lame, so scratch that). Fuck you Magni. One week you pull off the best rock song of the 90s *cough*Plush*cough*, and the next week you pull off this shit? Unbelievable. By the way, his vocals and performance sucked donkey balls too. 2 out of 10.
Jill ~ Don’t You Forget About Me (Simple Minds)
That’s exactly how I imagined a female rocker would carry this song, and I thought she did kinda decent on this one. 6 out of 10.
Ryan ~ Losing My Religion (REM)
How is this dipshit still in the competition? God! I hate his guts but that was pretty original. But still, way overrated. Yuck. 5.5 out of 10.
Lukas ~ Celebrity Skin (Hole)
His novelty has worn off from me since week one. He doesn’t enunciate his words ever. I know this is a rock performance, but great rockers do not mumblefuck their lyrics throughout the song, asshole. 3 out of 10.
Storm ~ Changes (David Bowie)
Tell me, how can Storm possibly be older than Dilana? She is! And that’s a fact, I tell ya. Another stunning performance from Storm. I had my doubts on her inconsistencies the first few weeks, but I’ve never been more convinced that she will at least be in the Final Four of this competition. 8.5 out of 10.
Dana ~ Baba O’Reilly (The Who)
There were too much shrieking at first, but she grew into the song midway through. It was a great performance. Dana did well. 7 out of 10.

In my last entry I mentioned that I was practising Stone Temple Pilot’s Plush? Well, it’s only because yesterday I got a call from ThePowersThatBe and told me I was in the running for the Rockstar Competition and told me the DJ at Mix.fm will call me today between 10am and 1pm for the knockout round. I had no idea what the competition will be.. trivia? singing? Anyway, I was ready for both. What I wasn’t ready was for an air guitar competition. Ohmagahd.. most embarassing moment ever.
DJ : Hi Izad, this is Non from Mix.fm
Izad : Hi Non!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!! (over enthusaisticly)
DJ : So I heard you’re a huge Rockstar fan
Izad : You bet. I took the day off from work yesterday just to watch the show live.
DJ : Great. That shows how much of a huge fan you are of the show
Izad : I just hope my boss didn’t hear what I just said earlier
DJ :
Anyway, we already spoke to the other contestant, and I hope you can top his performance.
Izad : What do I need to do, Non?
DJ : You’re gonna have to put your heart and soul and give all that you have into an air-guitar performance.
Izad : Air guitar performance?
DJ : Yep. Think you can do it?
Izad : ![]()
DJ : Hello?
Izad :
umm… okay. But I gotta apologize in advance. I SUCK at air guitars.
DJ : Well let’s just leave it for me to decide.
Izad : Ooookay. I’ll try Smooth from Santana (Smooth.. how ironic.. it wasn’t smooth at all)
Izad : *screeching noises that can only be best described as a bastard spawn of a gremlin and a mangy cat drowning in a dryer’s spin cycle*
Izad : ![]()
DJ : ![]()
Izad : Okay, that’s all I got.
DJ : Hey, that’s not bad (LIAR!), but I think I’m gonna give the other guy the chance to go to the next round, cause he had everything.. he had air drums and percussions too.. the works! But seriously, nice try.
Izad :
Okay sure
DJ : So who are you rooting for?
Izad : Dilana, of course. That girl can do no wrong. I LOVE her.
DJ : You want me to send a marriage proposal to her on your behalf?
Izad : Would you? But I think she’s just gonna eat me for breakfast.
DJ : You know, I think deep down inside, you’d enjoy that. ![]()
Izad :

DJ : Alright man, thanks for calling in to participate. Better luck next time.
Izad : Thanks, Non. Later!
*hangs up phone*
Izad : (to self) there goes my dreams [/poopert]

I still think I could’ve kicked some ass if it was a singing competition.
Oh well.
ohmigod. I may finally have to put my foot where my mouth is. I can’t elaborate much on that right now, but suffice to say that I’m currently practising Stone Temple Pilot’s song Plush. Anyway, just a short recap since I can’t be arsed to load the pictures from MSN’s website which just takes fucking ages to load.
Lukas ~ Bitter Sweet Symphony
The only good thing about Lukas’ performance was that they stuck to the original symphony. It was one of Lukas’ better performances. I still don’t sense much melody in his voice despite his rasps and shrieks. A 6 out of 10
Zayra ~ Call Me
She is definitely this season’s Vote For The Worst candidate. Out of breath, out of tune and almost out of clothes too. Let’s just hope she gets out of this competition soon. A 2 out of 10
Dana ~ About A Girl
Going accoustic wa a nice touch. Reminds most of us of Kobain’s unplugged version. She didn’t stray too far from Nirvana’s version, which was wise, but she still managed to sound really good. Her voice is amazing. A 7.5 out of 10
Patrice ~ Remedy
Patrice has a distinctive voice. She sounded really good with that song. I can’t really fault her for anything but there was something missing from the performance and I just couldn’t put my finger on it. A 6.5 out of 10.
Toby ~ White Wedding
The song was a little low key for me, and quite frankly Toby didn’t do anything much to make that a memorable performance. Sure he still sounds good, but if this dude doesn’t pick it up soon, I may turn a complete 180 on him. A 7 out of 10.
Magni ~ Heroes
It was at least 10 times better than Will’s version from last year (which became his swan song). But his performance pales in comparison to his last. Like Patrice, there was something major missing from his performance. A 5 out of 10.
Ryan ~ I Alone
That might possibly be his best performance so far. But he’s still just a filler for this competition. And I personally hate his perpetual angst-ridden expressions. A 6 out of 10.
Jill ~ Brown Sugar
Gilby played the lead guitar on this one. Personally I don’t like Jill cause she’s such a major drama queen beyotch. But I love her voice. Her performance was energetic and rocking. Good job. A 7 out of 10.
Phil ~ One Headlight
I love love love this song. Phil didn’t do it justice, not to my surprise. He still seems to have that limbless, spinelesss, head-bobbing thing going on for him that I absolutely loathe to the max. Nah.. I’d rather see him go first than Zayra - at least we can laugh at that delusional bitch. A 2 out of 10.
Dilana ~ Time After Time
See.. that dumbass Nadia Turner should’ve taken points from Dilana if she wanted to do something different with this song. ROFLMAO at Dilana’s outfit. Outrageous as usual. It was certainly different and if the band ever needs a slow song to play, this song was it. Who says Dilana doesn’t have the vocal range? Bitch please. I have to be biased again and give her top marks. An 8.5 out of 10.
Josh ~ No Rain
One thing I love about Josh is that he keeps singing songs that are so suited to his style. I love that song and I love his performance, but I have to take into consideration that this is a competition to look for the leas singer for Supernova. I truly do wish him a successful solo career outside this competition. He is so not suited for this band. A 7 out of 10.
Storm ~ Anything Anything
That was explosive. The thing she does with her eyes are mesmerizing. I seriously think she could give Dilana a run for the title. I can’t believe she looks so young for her age. The head-dive into the crowd at the end was the icing on the cake. Fucking superb. Love love love Storm! An 8.5 out of 10.
1. Dilana ~ An 8.5 out of 10
2. Storm ~ An 8.5 out of 10.
3. Dana ~ A 7.5 out of 10
4. Jill ~ A 7 out of 10.
5. Josh ~ A 7 out of 10.
6. Toby ~ A 7 out of 10
7. Patrice ~ A 6.5 out of 10
8. Lukas ~ A 6 out of 10
9. Ryan ~ A 6 out of 10.
10. Magni ~ A 5 out of 10.
11. Zayra ~ A 2 out of 10
12. Phil ~ A 2 out of 10
